Chris Carter has announced the latest in a series of reissues on Mute, with Electronic Ambient Remixes One and Three set for release on coloured double-vinyl, CD and digitally.
Electronic Ambient Remixes One and Three are radical ambient reworkings of Carter’s early solo work and Throbbing Gristle’s rhythms, each album taking a microscope to elements of the original tracks, transforming them into entirely different pieces. Both albums will be available on vinyl for the first time, while the CD editions have been out of print for over 15 years.

AUDIO SOFTWARE
Industrializer Multi Effect is a new Reason Rack Extension
Industrializer (INDSTRLZR) is a multi effect inspired by Chris Carter's legendary Gristleizer,
a device based on a circuit design by Roy Gwinn, published in Practical Electronics Magazine 1975.
Industrializer uses the same principle of an LFO modulating a VCA and VCF, and comes with multiple additional functions, like programmable LFO shape, syncing, control over filter mode and resonance. It also comes with a small digital Programmer control unit that houses a touch display with patch saving and FX controls. On FX page 1 you'll find two “Trashers” with individual tonality. Both futures Fuzz and Scream modes and has controls for amount and tone. The programmer also houses Echo and Reverb, LFO settings and custom LFO waveform Shape programming.
Industrializer has an additional audio mod input that can be used to modulate the audio signal, it works like a vocoder where the normal audio inputs are the carrier and the mod inputs are the modulator signal. On the backside you’ll find a number of CV connections for modular and experimental routing.
(If Industrializer is used with Reason 11 it will also appear as a regular Plugin in other DAWs.)

'OTHER, LIKE ME' The Oral History Of Coum & Throbbing Gristle
The British industrial town Hull could hardly have a more appropriate name. It is a fitting place for a nihilistic avant-garde collective, which at the end of the 1970s aggressively confronted every conceivable taboo: sex, pornography, violence and self-mutilation. But COUM Transmissions was only the beginning. Led by the artists Genesis P-Orridge and Cosey Fanni Tutti., COUM became the visionary and utterly unruly industrial/noise band Throbbing Gristle, which was named 'the wreckers of civilisation' by a shocked conservative politician. The many rare archive clips speak for themselves.
